Welcome to the web site of 1PURPOSE Student Ministries at Peace Church in Eagan, MN, a ministry focused on encouraging and equipping teenagers to “live 4 the Cause of Christ”.
Activities and events coming up for the next 30 days:
“Christ is your life” –Colossians 3:1-4
Our lives are made up of millions of moments, moments that are here one second and gone the next. Moments that are fleeting but that are essentially and profoundly valuable to our existence.
Every breath we breathe is a miracle of life, a moment of existence we were created to live to the full—don’t miss a moment. Our entire lives, existence and purpose are found in a personal relationship with Christ.
One Purpose Student Ministries (OPSM) seeks to live for the cause of Christ by encouraging students to know and serve Jesus Christ. OPSM is excited to participate in God’s work in the lives of teenagers and their families and friends. Here are a few ways that OPSM participates in God’s kingdom work:
1) The Senior High has recently finished a four week outreach challenging students to consider their purpose in the Image of God. OPSM senior high students met at three weeks off-campus at the Eagan Civic Center Mezzanine. Approximately 25 students were involved in this weekly outreach. The Senior high will resume regular Sunday morning connect at Pardon My French this coming Sunday, April 12, 09.
2) The Junior High ministry continues to meet on Wednesday nights for connecting and being challenged to live out their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This summer the Jr. High will travel to Kansas City, Missouri for a spiritual conference called, Power Connection. Please pray that God will open the minds and hearts of these students to hear from God and grow in relationship with God and one another.
3) This summer a Sr. High group of 42 (32 students and 10 adult leaders) will be traveling to Queens, NY to work with Youth Works in ministering to the physical, relational and spiritual needs of the community.
4) On Friday, April 17, 2009 the Sr. High will be hosting its 21st Mission Impossible outreach event. The event involves a high energy pursuit game, pizza, video presentations, guitar hero and a spiritual message and discussion with invitation.
5) On Friday, April 24, 2009 the Jr. High will be hosting a Spring annual lock-in. Students will be traveling off campus to Comedy Sports and then spending the night at the church for games, activities and a spiritual lesson.
